(Chorus)
Ain't no stoppin' us now
We're on the move
Ain't no stoppin' us now
We've got the groove

(Verse)
There's been so many trying to hold us down
But now it looks like things are finally comin' around
I know we've got a long long way to go
And where we'll end up
I don't know
But we won't let nothing hold us back
We gonna put our show together
We gonna polish up our act
And if you've ever been held down before
I know that you refuse to be held down any more, yeah yeah
Don't you let nothing, nothing
Stand in your way
I want you to listen, listen
To every word I say
Every word I say

(Chorus)
repeat 1X

(Verse)
I know you know someone who's got a negative vibe
And if your tryin to make it they only push you aside
They really don't have nowhere to go
Ask 'em where they're going
They don't know
But we won't let nothing hold us back
We gonna put our show together
We gonna polish up our act
And if you've ever been held down before
I know that you refuse to be held down any more
Don't you let nothing, nothing
Stand in your way
I want you to listen, listen
To every word I say
Every word I say

(Chorus)
repeat 1X

Don't wanna stop
Please don't make me stop
repeat 3X

S-T-O-P-P-I-N
Ain't no
repeat 3X

Ain't no stoppin' us now
We're on the move
Don't wanna stop
Please don't make me stop
Ain't no stoppin' us now
We've got the groove
Don't wanna stop
Please don't make me stop
repeat

A gratified client whose set of expectations, memories, stories and relationships, taken together account for why she chose this cover entertainer's service over another.

From the Manager’s Desk:

You can please some people some of the time but you can’t please all of the people all of the time. It’s unfortunate but with some your best will never be good enough no matter what you do. BJSLT BAND IS OLD SCHOOL. This doesn’t mean that they are limited to old school entertainment, especially when the audience demographics say different. The BJSLT BAND has received nothing but accolades and applause for their work. Communities of folk remember events of long ago, which in itself, says something more that ‘just a band’ about this entertainer and his accompaniment. It says ‘your brand works’.

Don’t let the Internet or others steer you wrong. Your choice of entertainment is crucial to the success of your event and it’s important to keep an open mind about the music, guests, etc.

When you hire a professional entertainer like Bobby J, there is an automatic level of trust that should exist between you both—you trust he will do a good job, he trusts you will pay him on time, and not forget to tip. When you start telling him exactly HOW to do the job that he does every week for other couples (weddings), social and corporate clients, then that trusting relationship starts to deteriorate.

He knows that folk on the Internet pass on the “dos and don’ts”, and better yet, speak with authority. Funny though, they themselves have little or no entertainment experience. Because they are music lovers or have hired a band or two, that does not make them authorities on performances. Go figure! But Bobby J is here to save the day.

"Amazing, amazing job! I have never been so pleased with a band that I've hired (and I've hired many over the years). Great job! Thanks!" ~ Nancy Ferrarese, Computer Share, Shelton CT

“Outstanding! The best band that's played for this conference (20 plus years). We couldn't recommend them more highly.” ~ Peggy Demarest, Imago Relationship Conference

Dear Bobby J, I wanted to send you a personal note to thank ya'll for making our wedding last weekend such an amazing time. Ya'll were the talk of the night! You must have picked up on the fact that we are Stevie Wonder fans from our first dance ("For Once In My Life")--one of my favorite memories will be dancing to your rendition of "Living for the City"--It's one of my favorite songs by Stevie, and you really don't hear many bands play it! Plus, your lady's gorgeous version of "At Last"--WOW! We were all blown away. She's up there with Etta James herself! Thanks again--we had a beautiful wedding and a fun time in a very, very special city. Thanks for making it that much more special for us. All the Best.
