Tidbits of History
In 1990, I birthed the idea of an old school band that focused on the golden eras of music, music that rings in the memory vault, taking audiences back to those special times. To keep old school alive, I handpicked a coterie of players who could relate, a spirited 4-piece, that swept New Orleans’ music lovers ON their feet. Months later, I added horns then background singers (both optional) and renamed my accompaniment Stuff Like That Band. And the rest is history.
We applied our collective, in-depth knowledge of multiple genres to bring listeners to a happier place:

Rogers, Chuck Mangione, Patti Labelle, Margie Joseph, Ashford and Simpson, Kool and the Gang, the Drifters, the Dixie Cups, Pieces of a Dream, Usher, Raheem DeVaughn, Larry Graham, Air Supply, the Pointer Sisters, Gladys Knight, Billy Preston, Irma Thomas, Branford Marsalis, Rockin' Dopsie, Jr., Aaron Neville and the Neville Brothers, Sammy Berfect, and Michael ‘Patches’ Stewart, to name a few

- We were the sole entertainers selected to Deluxe Corporation's 2014-2015 National Small Business Revolution Series (with a nationally publicized mini video documentary) for tenacity in the music industry.
